A room can feel newly designed until your eye lands on a built-in bookcase that still carries an older stain, sheen, or color. Fresh walls and updated lighting may suit the way you live now, while shelving or a favorite furnishing still belongs to the room’s previous look.
Artist Painters paints built-ins and furnishings for homes across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Its cabinetry and furnishings work uses strict preparation, quality primers, and industrial paints, with some removable pieces completed at the team’s art space or shop.
Treat Built-Ins as Part of the Architecture
Built-in shelving and bookcases occupy permanent visual space. They frame walls, hold everyday objects, and sit beside trim, flooring, and other finishes, so their color affects the entire room rather than one isolated corner.
